At Barbican Therapies we offer restorative treatments in: Aromatherapy, Facial Constitutional and Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Counselling, Indian Head Massage, Homeopathy, Herbal Medicine, Hypnotherapy, Hot Stone Massage, Geo thermal Therapy (hot and cold stone massage), Reflexology, Reiki, Holistic Massage, Nutrition, , Sports Massage and Remedial Massage, Mindfulness and Meditation.
Barbican Therapies: Who are we ?
Barbican Therapies is a professional Complementary Therapy & Healthcare studio, with a contemporary and modern style, situated in New Street (next door to the Elizabethan Gardens) in the historic Plymouth Barbican, close to the City Centre. The centre opened in September 2007 and was founded by Allison Trott.
Allison has been practising Aromatherapy for over twenty years, and continued her studies in Nutrition, Sports Injuries and a Holistic Clinical Honours Diploma. Continuing her studies in Constitutional and Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture, Reflexology, Geo Thermal Therapy(hot and cold stone massage), Indian Head Massage and Reiki Master. She works exclusively at Barbican Therapies.
At Barbican Therapies we have a dedicated team of professionally qualified and experienced therapists who provide a high standard of quality complementary and alternative health care.
Originally, Barbican Therapy Centre (BTC),grew from the recognition of the need for a Therapy Centre offering a range of alternative and holistic therapies that recognise the importance of working with the whole person, including all aspects of a person’s well-being, addressing physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual health.

Barbican Therapies provides a wide variety of Complementary therapies and approaches. Each therapy is offered by qualified and experienced practitioners who have been chosen for their expertise,warmth, professionalism and good reputation.
The diversity of alternative therapies and practitioners is held together by a shared belief in humanistic principles, founded on respecting and honouring the uniqueness of each person.
People often get wrapped up in work, relationships, running busy family lives etc., and end up neglecting themselves. Our aim is to offer people a place to stop and to nourish themselves through using the range of therapies we offer.
